Hiya,
I have an EL Futura 1998, 4.0 Litre auto with the following mods: 1) Pedders upgraded suspension, including 35mm lowered springs, Sports Ryder shocks, poly bushes, caster/camber kit; 2) Pacemaker (mandrel bend) extractors, 2.5" exhaust with hi-flow cat; 3) Upgraded brakes front and rear; 4) BA XR6T cold-air intake and K&N filter; 5) Rebuilt (stock) 4 spd auto; 6) New 17" mags and 245 tyres; 7) New stereo head unit (with USB port) and speakers; 8) New Dizzy, plugs, leads and ignition module; and 9) 'Clear' tail lights (they look really good!!) and a new windscreen. I also have the car booked-in for a dyno tune and custom chip in two weeks. I'd prefer not to have to 'open' the engine and so I was thinking of a CAPA supercharger kit ($6000 for the kit). Has anyone installed one of these kits on their 6 cylinder car? As the EL Futura has the ugliest 'face' of all the falcon iterations of that era, I want to change the front for that of an EF/EL Fairmont or XR. Will I need to swap bonnets, grills, and guards? My clock has stopped working. I can still see the time very dimly displayed in certain lights, but I want to have it fixed. Does this sound like a common problem, and if so, how much would cost to repair? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. cheers

Just a little bit of advice with your auto. If you do put a supercharger on it you may want to toughen it up. As for finding if any has a supercharger just run a search in the workshop builds

If I were you I would track down a trip computer and throw that in. There are some how to guides on the net. Can't imagine you would pay more than $100 for one.
