Hey there,
I was under the car today checking the condition of my transmission fluid and its level and while i was down there i saw that the wires on the passenger side of the transmission were somehow ground back to bare wires. So i wrapped electrical tape around the wires individually then together... should sort it out... What i would like to know is what these wires were for, it was the pair of wires that run to the 2 pin plug which is from memory the rear most plug on the box and goes to the same place as the 4 plug connector. What would be the affects of these wires shorting out? Not that i noticed any change in the way the gearbox performed while driving... more of a curiosity thing Cheers, Simon. |

Well, according to the attached, it could be the Transmission range sensor:

Hey cheers JC,
Probably not the coolest wires to have potentially touching each other, any idea of what no resistance eqautes to? Cheers again, Simon. |

Nah, no idea at all. But if you've experienced no issues, then I'd say it does not much.
