Was the EA engine used in an American vehicle?
Is there an American forum about it?

the EB on 5 litre was a mustang engine though

Not that I know of.

The inline aussie six was designed and built in Australia, I don't think we ever exported them to any other countries for use in other vehicles.

Unless some yank shipped one over for a retro fit in to a Gremlin or something, then I highly doubt it.

did the 4L sixes make it south africa? i know theres a fair few e series utes over there as rangers or rancheros or something.

nissan took a few e-series utes and rebadged aswell, unsure if its just australia or they used them in africa or not...

So Nissan did steal our utes! Theres a red XF ute near me with a big Nissan badge over the centre of the grille and Nissan ute stickers on the front gaurds.

Used in an American model - No.

There is a US forum about Inline Ford Six engines http://fordsix.com/forum/ that has an Aussie section so the more educated US 6 enthusiast does know about these engines.

One of them even did a reasonable job of documenting the development of the Aussie 6 up to around about the year 2000. Australian Ford Sixes

That's cool, I know what you meant ;)

I while I don't mean to be inflammatory they didn't have the 4.0 OHC either. :

They were XF's rebadged as Nissans and had the 4.1 Crossflow engine.
The badge swapping had stopped by the time the XG's came out and was a distant memory before the XH which is the only ute that really came close to being an e-series, having the full front structure of the sedans.

Check my age, I know cause I was around at the time

they are with both, iv seen plenty on ebay, wreckers, driving around still with OHC motors, i dont mean to say your wrong but i dont they were all had engine transplants :P

joe, the XFN utes were XF utes....it had stopped by XG's inception (93)

yes, XG's had the OHC engine, but there no Nissan XFN utes with the OHC

There were a FEW XGN Utes, but are pretty rare, also alot of people retro fit the XG/ED engine.
XFN's are very common as Ford rebadged the Patrol as the Maverick, hence the swap.

nissan stopped the whole XF ute thing when they stopped suplying ford with the corsair (pintara) there are no nissan XF utes with EFI even
they were made from 1988-1991 and the XG didnt come out till 93

we had one of these as our work ute for a while and we pulled the nissan badges of the grill and steering wheel and under was the ovel shaped spot for the ford badges lol
